An E-visit with
Emily Chetkowski and Mabel
Though Mabel and I love to travel all over the country visiting schools and speaking, it can be a tiresome, expensive venture for both us and the schools. Thanks to today’s technology, there is a simple solution – Skype School Visits.

Now Mabel and I can be virtually anywhere, speaking live without ever having to leave home, thanks to internet teleconferencing.

All you need is:
~Internet access, preferably high speed.
~ Skype software installed on your computer, easily downloaded at www.skype.com. The software is free; thank you Skype!
~Web camera and microphone, which are easily obtainable, connectable, and reasonably priced. Some computers have them built in already.
If you have the capability to connect your computer to a large screen then more students can see it, therefore a larger group can attend the presentation.
The virtual visit is interactive. Students/presentation attendees can see me and I can see them, live, and we can speak back and forth through the microphone.
My fee is a fraction of the cost and effort of an in person visit and I offer all the same programs. I am not limited to school visits either; E-visits are perfect for most any speaking engagement and/or audience. And as always, I can easily customize my presentation to your groups needs. Please email me for more details.

Emily
PS – on a limited basis, for WWII history buffs, my father is also available via Skype to discuss his experiences as a courtroom guard at the Nuremberg trials, a rare opportunity indeed.

Here are a few of the comments we have received from teachers
"Enthusiastic author/speaker for children and adults!"

Donna C., 2nd grade Elementary Teacher, Pelham, NH
"the kids say hello to you and Mabel both. They were so glad the day of your visit. Just yesterday, we were discussing the difference between a comment and a question. One of the boys said an example of a question is - how old is Mabel? They really enjoyed having a dog in school."

Mrs. Williams, Kindergarten teacher, MA
"We all loved having (Emily) at Pakachoag School, and (her) talks were wonderful at each grade level. The students loved listening to (Emily) and they learned so much!!"

Chris O., Pakachoag School, Auburn, MA
And here are a few of the comments from the students
"Dear Emily and Mabel,
Thank you for visiting us. I love all of your books. After you told us how to write a story I went home and wrote a story about my dog. Mabel is a very good dog and you are a very good writer."
"...it was great to see you at our school. It was lots of fun. Mabel is adorable and so well behaved. Is she well behaved at home? I love the way you read and write. I adore your stories, they are written beautifully..." "...you taught me how to get some ideas for writing. Now I know what I am going to write about, either my dog Ziggey or my hockey team. You also taught me that writing is fun when you have a fun subject.."
"...I read one of your books before and I liked it. it was my favorite book and still is...." "....you and Mabel make a great team. I think you and Mabel are funny, fantastic, and sweet.." "...I cant wait for your new books to come out!"
"...I like the story Pumpkin Smile. It reminds me when I lost my first tooth. But right now I lost four teeth." "My favorite book is Pumpkin Smile because the night before Mrs. Chetkowski read it to us, I lost my tooth!" "I wish I could keep your books in a glass case with a golden key. I liked your presentation and your dog."
